This Fall there are some very bold makeup trends – so you might want to proceed with caution, unless you like making a slash in the school drop-off line. You don’t want to try them all at once – just pick one and I guarantee you can rock these bold trends!!
Dark red lipstick: Very wearable for everyone! Make sure you tone down your eyes for this look (maybe just great mascara). Find the right share I’d wear it with just a little mascara on my eyes, too. Make sure you use one with staying power, like Covergirl Outlast!

Bold eyebrows: See? Everything is bold this season! Visit the waxer only for some simple shaping and put those tweezers down! Full brows are in! If you need some filler, we love Laura Mericer Eyebrow Pencil.
Retro Cat Eye: A full cat-eye, a la Adele, might be a bit much for your everyday. For a more subtle cat eye look, line along the upper lash line and take the wand just a tiny bit upward and out from the outside corner of the eye. It might take a few tries, but its a great way to really make your eyes pop! Wear with a light shadow and volume-building mascara. My favorite liquid liner is PixiBeauty Lash Line Ink. Its like silk, dries super fast, and has no parabens, sulfates & phthalates.
Smokey Eyes: Still around for a reason! Its tricky to get right, but try Urban Decay’s Smoked Eyeshadow Palette. Zipped inside this sleek, mirrored case are ten decadent shades (five are exclusive), including neutral mattes and shimmering jewel tones for a range of smoky looks. And it includes a beautifully illustrated, step-by-step guide to 12 smoky eye looks from day to night to super dramatic!
Which Fall makeup trend will you try?

Great tips as always Melissa! I really like the Urban Decay smoked eyeshadow palette. The jewel tones are beautiful and look like a lot of fun to play with! I’m going to try all these looks, just not at the same time!
I remember the first makeup pallet I got for a birthday when I was about 13, and the look then was the burgundy lip or deep red – and it’s BAAAACKKK. It is such a bold look not sure if I am going to try it as I like softer makeup.
That dark lip reminds me of the 90’s…but I’m going to try it soon!
I have that covergirl outlast!! its amazing!! just make sure you use it right and that you wait the 60 secs or youll get smeared for a while!!
xoxo,
Dee
I love that the eyeshadow palette includes a step-by-step for creating different looks. Gives me the confidence to try and change my makeup routine up a little!
Awesome tips. I love red but it is sometimes so hard to find the right shade. I will have to check out CoverGirl.
