UGG® Australia’s 10th Anniversary of the Art & Sole charitable program kicked off on Monday with a limited edition Kid’s Classic Art & Sole Boot that will be available for purchase at UGG domestic concept stores and www.uggaustralia.com/ArtandSole. The boot will be offered in red and navy blue with ten dollars from each pair benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of America affected by Superstorm Sandy. Donations will be taken at the cash register with a company match program.

The puzzle piece artwork is inspired by Buket Pamuk of Turkey who won the Art & Sole design contest last season. The competition called for artists to unleash their creativity on a pair of signature UGG Classic Boots and submit one-of-a-kind designs via social media. Chosen by UGG Australia’s V.P Creative Director Leah Larson, Pamuk’s winning design was inspired by children, and depicts intersecting puzzle pieces, with an overlaying message of hope.

It also reminds me of JANE EYRE, as the two books both have young, not conventionally heroines who are alone and fall in love with older mysterious wealthy men. And of course both novels have beautiful dark women from the men’s past who threaten to ruin the heroines’ happiness. The hero’s are both hurt by their horrid first wives.
