Summertime is just around the corner, and that means it’s time for bathing suit shopping. Unfortunately for those of us who prefer one piece swimsuits, it’s incredibly difficult to find flattering, non-matronly looks.
When given the option, who would really want to be seen at the beach in this? Unless of course, you’re 80. In which case, rock on grandma. You’ve earned the right.
But for everyone else, it can be tricky to find a feminine one-piece that doesn’t look like it would only flatter a 16 year old’s physique.
Enter Everything But Water. I discovered them when I spotted a friend sporting a decidedly fashionable one-piece on the beach, and begged her to tell me where she had found this treasure trove. The only downside? They’re not cheap. But take good care of these swimsuits, and they will last you for years.
Here are three of my favorites.
Magicsuit’s Magic Solids One Piece High Neck – $148
Gottex’s Tamarind One Piece Lingerie Strap Tank – $158
Gottex’s Beach Goddess One Piece Surplice – $158

Wider straps for a little extra support and tight tummy control hidden under the figure-flattering draping.

Lovely suits. Unfortunately I haven’t worn one in over 6 years. We have an in-ground pool in the back yard too! My suit of choice is a tankini top with board shorts. It covers a multitude of sins. I made a promise to myself this year would be the year that I would finally let the sun hit my thighs. With healthy eating and exercise I’m on my way. With any kind of luck I’ll be wearing suit. #1. 🙂
Wow! its look awesome especially that last one because that swim suit in blue and I love blue.
It is difficult to find a flattering and stylish one piece swimsuit for women, although not impossible as there are many out there. http://www.afterdarktease.co.uk/womens-clothing/swimwear/one-piece-swimsuits/
