My girls are just at the age where they are getting into beauty and fashion. They are asking to wear makeup, want to straighten or curl their hair – and are showing early signs of those lovely teen skin issues!
I was thrilled to learn about Willa Skincare. I’ve begun looking into skincare and acne treatments for them, but everything I found just seemed too harsh for their young skin. They’re still just babies! Willa Skincare, on the other hand, offers products like facial cleanser, sunscreen and more just for tween and teen girls. The products use only natural ingredients and are free of harsh chemicals, parabens and sulfates. Up to 80% of lasting skin damage happens by age 18 – so getting our girls to embrace healthy skin routines early, setting them up for a lifetime of healthy skin, is so important.
When I checked out the website, I was blown away. Both by the company and their commitment to creating products that are formulated from nature without damaging chemicals and by the PRICES! I was truly expecting this to be a ‘luxury’ brand for tweens, but its completely affordable. I was so excited to give this a try with some of my favorite gals!!
To introduce ourselves and a few friends to Willa, the girls and I thought it would be fun to host a spa sleepover! We invited 4 friends over and got lots of spa-inspired treats ready to share.

Then we set up the table with spa stations – a little nail salon and a skincare station.

The girls were SQUEALING with happiness when they saw the table! We put everyone’s hair up and out of their faces, then got down to business.
We chatted about the importance of washing your face every day while they tried out the foaming face wash and the lavender cleansing towelettes. They loved both. “The foam smells soooo good!” said Bella. “I love how clean my face feels now.” They all liked the towelettes better, saying it was hard to wash your face with soap. (Which it is, really!)
Now that our faces were nice and clean, we indulged in a cucumber face mask. None of the girls had done a face mask before, so it was completely hysterical. They were very curious as to WHY one would want to smear green stuff all over one’s face! I explained how masks can deep clean, unclog pores and leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed. They looked doubtful, but were willing to give it a try!

The feeling about the masks were mixed – 4 girls tried them. 2 liked them and 2 thought they were weird and too hard to wash off. After a very wet bathroom trip, the girls tried the clear face moisturizer. This was BY FAR the biggest hit! Every single girl loved it – at first they didn’t believe it was really a moisturizer. They were expecting something think and greasy like lotion, I think. It absorbs instantly and leaves skin feeling clean and balanced, not the tiniest bit greasy! There were lots of “Oooooo”s and “Ahhhhhh”s when they were trying this one out! I used this for a few days and was VERY impressed. Its perfect for combination skin in the summer. Its so light that it helps hydrate where you need while keeping oily areas from looking shiny! Very cool.

We had such a fun night – the girls declared “This is the BEST sleepover EVER! We LOVE SPA NIGHT!!”

Thanks, Willa, for the cool products to try out and for developing a simple skin care routine for tweens that will set girls up for a lifetime of healthy skin.

spa sleepover was a cool idea 🙂
By what age can girls start using these products ?
My daughters are 10 and 8, Dima, and they are loving them. They are both starting to wash their faces at night and my older one uses the moisturizer as well. I’m going to buy the acne spot treatment, since I think we will need that soon enough! (hold me!)
Wooow, I should be using that too for my daughter, she is 9 yrs old, but she looks like a 12 yrs old teen !
What lucky girls! That looks like an awesome night!
Such a cute idea to make a spa sleepover. Adorable!
Wow, that’s so cool! My tween needs this. She’s not really breaking out, just invisible bumps on her nose so far, but puberty can’t be that far off! Thanks for sharing.
naturally like your website however you have to test the spelling on several of your posts.
Many of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality nevertheless I will definitely come back again.
