Get the Look: Fashion Forward

Wednesday I went up to NYC to attend the second Fashion Forward Conference – I attended last year and it was such a great experience. I was eager to go back, mix and mingle with so many incredibly talented bloggers, learn from top industry speakers and mix and mingle with fabulous brands. It was a great day! Between getting inspired by speakers sharing on everything from working with brands to the hottest trends, we took advantage of a fun photobooth hosted by GM, tried on the latest denim trends with Coldwater Creek, got very jealous of the chic baby gear by Stokke (my strollers were never that cool), and picked out about 20 pairs of shoes for my kids at Stride Rite.

And the fashion show was fabulous.

My look was from LOFT, one of my go-to stores (as you probably know if you’re a regular around here).

The Stripe Merino Wool Blend Sweater Dress was FABULOUS! I got tons of compliments! It’s a very light weave and very comfortable, perfect for fall in-between weather. Its short enough to be sexy but not so short that you can’t wear it to a PTA meeting or to lunch with your grandma. And it will be a great piece for winter as well, paired with tights and a blazer or belted cardi!

My LOFT Collection Short Braided Fabric and Medallion Necklace was gorgeous. Every one who saw it immediately said how much they loved it.

My hair was done by Sarah Potempa – she used The Wrap Up. SUCH a cool product – I can’t wait to try it out on myself. It made my bun look huge!

A huge shout out to the girls who put this conference together – Nicole, Audrey, Vera & Brooke – you gave us an incredible day! Thank you! Can’t wait for next year!
