Random Acts of Udi’s

We just love Udi’s Gluten Free Foods over here in our house. And when I heard about the “Random Acts of Udi’s” campaign, I had to participate. I had two special people in mind!

A friend of mine just went gluten-free. She loves it, she feels terrific… but she has three kids. She said its so hard to cook their favorites and not be able to eat what they are eating. The worst was the holidays! Her family was gobbling up cookies and stuffing and pie and she was just depressed! I put together a little bag of a few of my favorites – Udi’s soft-baked cookies (YUM!) and bagels and granola. I also shared a few recipes I’ve found for great gluten-free alternatives!

The other person that sprang to mind was my cousin. He went gluten-free and he is missing some of his old favorite things (beer) and not sure quite how to replace them (beer). He misses snacks – guys don’t want to snack on celery sticks when out with the guys, right? I put together a few manly snacks for him to enjoy. The Udi’s Ancient Grain Crisps are super yummy and so full of flavor, you don’t even notice the wholesome ingredients!

And finally,  I hosted a get together at my house, my daughter put together a lovely plate of Udi’s cookies and brownies for our guests (along with a pound cake we made).

AFTER they all were munching away (and raving that these were the BEST snickerdoodles EVER) we told them that they were eating gluten-free cookies! THey were floored! “But… I thought gluten-free stuff tasted bad?”

Not anymore, folks. Not anymore! Thanks Udi’s for sharing the love!

disclosure: i received a box of Udi’s treats & coupons to share with friends. I did keep a box of cookies for myself , though. YUM!
