Children’s Resale Stores

It’s no secret that I love shopping at thrift stores. But since becoming a mom, I’ve discovered the amazing sales at children’s resale shops. One of my favorites is Children’s Orchard where I recently picked up 10 pairs of jeans (GAP, Gymboree, Tommy Hilfiger) to last Baby Perez until she’s about 2 years old for all of $10.60.

But my favorite find? This Janie and Jack ensemble, perfect for our visit to Peru in May (fall in the southern hemisphere).

It only cost me $1. No, I didn’t forget any zeros.

This sweet would outfit would easily have cost me at least $100 if purchased new from the brand. The truth is I love Janie and Jack. Their classic children’s clothing is well-made and will last through several kids’ worth of wearing and washing. If I were able, my baby girl would probably be dressed almost exclusively in Janie and Jack.

Of course that’s not possible on my budget, so I’m grateful for local resale stores where I can shop fantastic brands for significantly less! What are your favorite places to buy clothes for your kids?
