Fashion Friday: Ten Purse Essentials

I’m not talking about the variety of purses each woman should have in her closet, but instead the essentials we should each carry around in our purses. Here are ten essentials I always keep in my purse.Ten Purse Essentials

    1. Lip Balm. I love the LipSaver Sunscreen from Arbonne for its antioxidants to soothe lips and its broad spectrum SPF 30 protection.
    2. Your favorite lipstick or gloss. I usually have three of my current favorite – one on my vanity, one in my kitchen, and another in my purse/diaper bag.
    3. Hand Sanitizer. Like all hand sanitizers, this one kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria. But unlike most hand sanitizers, this spray uses all natural plant-based protection and leaves no sticky residues. It lasts forever, and you can get a two-pack for only $5.95 from The Honest Company.
    4. Extra hair ties. These always come in handy!
    5. A compact mirror, ideally with powder foundation for touch ups throughout the day. Alternatively, keep a concealer on hand.
    6. Mints. Because we can all use a little breath freshening throughout the day. And who doesn’t love those melt in your mouth butter mints?
    7. Hand cream. The shea butter hand cream by L’Occitane won Allure’s Best of Beauty in 2013, and for good reason. Just a dab of this thick balm penetrates skin quickly and leaves no oily traces. Perfect for moisturizing on the go!
    8. Oil Control Blotting Sheets. My favorites are the Beauty Blotters Oil-Absorbing Sheets by MaryKay.
    9. Mini Manicure Kit. Handy for those unexpected jagged nails.
    10. Last but not least, good old cash. I try to keep about $20 on hand, preferably in small bills. Just in case.

Did I miss anything? What are your purse essentials?

  1. Excellent list! I already keep most of these items in my purse, but I might need to add a few. 🙂 Thanks for the tips!
