Getting everything together for daycare can sometimes be a challenge. And then even when we think we have all our stuff together, we get home and my kid has someone else’s shoes on. Or we ended up with a sippy cup that looks almost exactly-but-not-quite-the-same as ours because let’s face it: our daycare has enough on their plates without trying to remember who has a bright green lid and who has a light green lid on their cup. They’re spending their time educating and caring for my child, so I try to make things a little easier for them.
At first I was writing on Jake’s items with a marker…which worked for a few weeks until everything went through the dishwasher multiple times. And then almost everything said ‘ ke’, since half the marker disappeared. Dishwasher/laundry/kid safe! They stay on through it all!
I ordered the Ultimate Back to School Combo which had over 100 labels for clothing, shoes, bags and any kind of storage/drink container you have. I love that I could customize them with a character or logo, so even if the teacher has to quickly gather things up, she can see the fish and automatically think ‘Jake’! Since we’ve been using these, we’ve been coming home with the correct items daily, and our teachers are loving that these are on everything we send. And the best part? Even after several trips through the wash, the labels still look like new. And they’re a cute addition to all our daycare supplies – much nicer than just scrawling Jake’s name all over everything!
