Holiday Ready with H&M

Every year, I never know what to wear to holiday parties and events.  I mean, what is “festive attire” anyways? A Christmas sweater? Sequins?

Most years, our holiday parties include getting together with friends – both in their homes and for nights out on the town. I tend to go with something just a little fancier than I would wear in my everyday. And usually pants – we live in New England so walking around the city in December with just tights on my legs is not fun!

Last year, I picked up a pair of adorable tweed trousers, but this year I went edgy. I could NOT resist these pants! I walked into my local H&M and these treggings were on a display by the door – they instantly caught my eye. (Trouser + Leggings = Treggings. Get it?) I tried on probably 6 other outfits, but sometimes your first idea is your best!

It was perfect for a night on the town – a little edge from the fun texture of the treggings and simple wrapped shirt that definitely more sexy than my typical outfit, warm enough for walking around the city in chilly weather and versatile enough for anywhere!

I also could not resist picking up this flared sweater dress for a work conference next week! CUTE!

I always hit up H&M before the holidays – it’s an amazing trick to get awesome gifts while not blowing your budget! For my mom or my sisters, I always try to go a little luxe – since we tend to spoil everyone but ourselves! While my mom loves cashmere, she has never EVER splurged on herself like that. And my sis has a weakness for shiny things, but rarely buys herself jewelry. H&M has some prefect options that I can spoil them with without going over our spending limit!
