When I was pregnant, I remember watching my bump proudly emerge from out of nowhere. It was both amazing and terrifying. As excited as I was to know my baby was growing strong, it was hard to accept the fact that my midsection would be flabby afterward. I’d read about the postpartum corsets that celebrities use, but was skeptical. Then, a friend who looked awesome three months after baby suggested I try the Belly Bandit.

4 days postpartum. Had not used Belly Bandit yet. Yes, I forgot to wear a black tank & pants for consistency. And yes, my bathroom was a wreck. Welcome to Newmomdom!
I packed mine in my hospital bag but was so overwhelmed by recovery and love that I didn’t actually put it on until we were home. I noticed a pretty immediate change as my belly went from looking about five months pregnant to four in the first few days home. My baby turned two months old yesterday and I am back in my old jeans. I still have some extra skin in the middle, but having not counted a single calorie or worked out at all (okay, I’ve been to one yoga class!), I feel comfortable attributing this awesome tightening process to the Belly Bandit.
Comfortable enough to sleep in, discreetly hidden under clothes, and easy to wash by hand, the Belly Bandit has been my best friend these past eight weeks. In addition to the smoothing and tightening it provides your midsection, you’ll likely find like I did that it really alleviates back pain. I suffered so much late in my pregnancy from sciatica and generalized lower back pain — every time I was wearing the Belly Bandit postpartum I could feel it compressing and aiding the situation.
This is probably the best $50 you will spend as a new mom. Personally, I don’t think you can put a price tag on the feeling of slipping into your jeans six weeks after baby. If you’re feeling up for a shopping spree, I’d also recommend their Mother Tucker leggings which I basically live in these days. In fact, I’m about to buy another pair so that I don’t have to keep doing a load of darks every night! Happy shopping, chic preggo mamas. And let us know how you like your Bandit!

8 weeks postpartum. I just packed up my Belly Bandit for pregnancy #2. (NOT happening any time soon, I promise!)
And side by side, just for fun: Here you have 40 weeks +1, and 6 weeks post.

I am just curious about whether you feel strong using this. I know after my second pregnancy I felt super weak and my stomach was much larger. I began researching and found lots of great information on postpartum body function on this site https://pz138.isrefer.com/go/homepage/rayhe1984/ Her blog taught me a lot about my body and she seems very against body binding as it doesn’t increase strength. I don’t know anyone who has used one so I am really curious (her program has done wonders for my body but it sure didn’t happen in 8 weeks!).
