The Perfect Father’s Day Gift

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re like me, you’ve been racking your brain for a gift idea for your husband.  He will definitely be getting some sort of craft from our son, but  I like to give him a little something extra to thank him for all the parenting he does (especially since I’ve been traveling a lot lately, so he’s been the #1 parent at home).  It’s hard to come up with a creative gift idea that he won’t expect, but this year I surprised him with this Sully watch from JORD (and yes, gave him his gift early too!)

He LOVES this watch!  It’s unique but still classic, while being a piece he can wear casually or with a blazer.  The Sully showcases a beautiful two-toned look with a dramatic black face.  To be perfectly honest, in a world where every last wooden item seems to be made of particle board, I was surprised this watch really was made of solid, untreated wood.  It is beautifully constructed and the band is so smooth!  Being solid wood though, it definitely is not a waterproof or water resistant watch, but it holds up well to everyday wear on land.  And it comes beautifully packaged in an engraved wooden box, perfect for gifting and for safekeeping.  My husband already has a couple watches, so I was nervous about getting him another for Father’s Day, but this one is so unique that it really added to his collection.

And made me want to get one for myself.  Luckily, JORD has an amazing women’s collection as well – I’m eyeing the Ely Maple for myself.
