Breathe New Life into Your Skin: A Review of Liquid Oxygen

It seems like every time you turn around, there’s a new product being marketed to moms, but many of them don’t cater to our real skin needs. Along with the beginnings of wrinkles (thank you, Time!), a lot of us suffer from embarrassing breakouts. But using medicated acne treatments targeted at teenagers doesn’t work. We need something that contains the moisture and vitamins our adult skin craves. So, naturally I jumped at the chance to try out Liquid Oxygen, the new kid on the block.

My own skin has suffered since getting pregnant and having a baby last year. It’s been a long, slow road to nowhere as I need to be careful with what I ingest since I’m breastfeeding. Months of embarrassment about my skin have led to plenty of tears. But seriously, within one day of trying this product I was already looking and feeling better!

Liquid Oxygen takes a three-step approach to clearing up acne. 1. Cleanse, 2. Renew, 3. Hydrate. The cleanser goes on light and gel-like with a soft tingle. Follow up with the blackhead-blasting astringent that feels super-cool and healing, and then pat dry and moisturize with their medicinal yet light, oil-free moisturizer. I could feel the products working right away even after the first use. My bumpy, shiny skin felt smoother and tighter, and the products left behind a cool after-sensation as a little reminder of what’s to come.

Unfortunately I don't have "befores" because I hid from cameras or covered up with gobs of makeup until I found this product, but here is a makeup-free selfie from this weekend, just one week after I started using Liquid Oxygen. NOT BAD!

I couldn’t love Liquid Oxygen more. Even just a week after my first use, my skin has cleared up immeasurably. The routine is easy to stick to, the price is right, and unlike some leading acne systems, this one doesn’t burn holes in your glasses or sheets! (SCARY!) This all-natural line contains no parabens, it’s loaded with vitamins A, C, D, & E, is non-comedogenic, and benzoyl peroxide-free. Pricing ranges from $15 to $17 for a 90-day supply, and the site walks you through best products for your skin. I went with the facial cleanser, blackhead astringent, and moisturizer, but there are a few variations depending on your needs. They even have pregnancy-safe options, which I wish I had known back when I was preggers with Willow and my face looked like a pizza without coat after coat of makeup.

Do yourself a favor and head over to Liquid Oxygen to get your skin started on a new journey toward clarity. Join the #LoveLO Your Skin movement with me and the rest of ATC today!
