It’s All in The Bag…

Hi everyone!

It’s Sarah here, Chic Critique’s resident 20-something girl on the go.

As an Indiana girl, I currently live in coats, scarves, boots, and denim. And lots of layers.

As I have mentioned here on Chic Critique, I am still on the quest for perfect, full hair.

I keep trying to find the tools for the perfect manicure, but I’m always on the lookout.

As a little “welcome back” to the fresh, new Chic Critique, I just wanted to share with you my daily “face.” What it takes to get my out the door in the morning.

In a perfect world, this is my makeup:

My Daily Make-Up Routine

In reality, the “face” bag looks more like this – leopard print not optional!Makeup Bag 038Except it’s usually covered in a fine layer of powder. And the brushes are usually filthy (I washed them just for you!)

The products are:

You can find my detailed makeup routine over on my personal blog.

And see how I go from left to right. Before and After

That’s what’s in my little bag o’ tricks.

Got any suggestions for my fine-and-fair haired, sensitive-skinned, makeup-loving self?

What do YOU need to get you out the door every day?

  1. Great bag of goodies!! My must haves include mineral powder, bronzer to define my cheekbones, mascara in black, and a little lip gloss!!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. NARS is genius! I love all their products but its soo $ to have them all! I’ve tried the blush and love it but right now i’m using the stick that tripples as blush, eyeshadow and lip gloss!

  3. I actually like your face better without makeup As your skin is very clear, glowy, and fresh, but I think it’s because your foundation is full coverage and matte. Sheer/glowy foundation looks more like your skin, but better. And wow… Orgasm blush doesn’t show on my skin at all… Just a bunch of glitter!

  4. I also use the Nars blush in Orgasm and the Physician’s Formula pressed powder and love them both! I use Clinique foundation and concealer too–Superbalanced foundation and All about Eyes concealer!

  5. I also have really fine hair, and Yes to Carrots shampoo has done WONDERS for my hair.

  6. Okay, your perfect world looks almost exactly like your real world. Very neat. I’m gonna have to clean up my bag for my post! 😉

    You look beautiful!

Moving on…I guess I’m going to have to try that blush. It’s coming highly recommended! I have been using the Hard Candy. It’s good – very sparkly. I like sparkly sometimes.

  7. Oh, I also love Yes To Carrots shampoo and conditioner, it’s the best hair I’ve ever had. My new favorite thing in my makeup bag is Christian Dior mascara, also Photo Finish under-makeup base by Smashbox. I never leave home without MAC’s Viva Glam II lipstick and some mineral powder. (oh I almost forgot Quo blotting papers in a great silver case). Happy Day.

  8. Love the leopard bag, right up my alley! Where did you find it?

  9. You’re so brave with the before & after pic! 🙂
Thanks for visiting/commenting on my carnival post.
As a fellow Clinique-wearer, I might have to look into that concealer as my 11wk old is still not sleeping through the night…
