Jen is a wife and a stay-at-home mom who was
a writer in a previous life in marketing and public relations. Now that she has
spent five years doing the homemaker thing with her two daughters and knows she
has a few more to come, she has been looking for a way back into
writing. She blogs regularly at My Ladybuggs. (The link is fixed now. Sorry ’bout that!!)
I have been forever searching for a
fragrance that is not too overpowering and follows the “less is more” approach
to beautythat I’ve always pursued. I’d
rather NOT be the woman that a young child passes and says “I smell something”
with her nose up (like my 2-year-old-did next to a lady at the library just today), but instead carry a
scent that is subtle and could be “me”.
I have finally found that fragrance! My
mom, who has a long history (addiction, really) of TV shopping (her favorite
being QVC) introduced me to a line called Philosophy by gifting me a bottle of
their Philosophy Pure Grace Spray Fragrance.

It is the most natural and fresh scent you’ll
ever lay nose on! It’s as simple as soap
and water — they’ve even added that to their label. It is truly a combination of
crisp, clean linens and a bright, summer morning. People often ask me what I’m
wearing and tell me how nice I smell after a warm hug. To keep the aroma lasting
longer (delicate scents are always a little more challenging to keep enduring
for as long as you’d like), Philosophy also carries a 3-in-1 shower gel and
perfumed lotion in the same scent to use for layering.
This product is a true delight! A
smell that I never have to worry
about clashing with another woman’s perfume or offending those with sensitive
snouts. When you put it on, you smell like… clean. Who doesn’t want to
smell clean?
Because my Pure Grace supply has always
been replenished by my mom (another
believer in smelling clean and simple), my husband has been oblivious to the
kind of perfume I wear, or if I wear any. Until one day, I dragged him into
Sephora (where they now sell Pure Grace spray, yay!) and sprayed some on my
wrist and put it to his nose. (I was giving hints for the next gift-giving
holiday.) He took a big whiff and replied “Mmmm… I always thought that smell
was just you.”
Can’t get any better than that!
You can find Pure Grace at Drugstore.com (follow the text link above or click on the button over there on the sidebar) as well as at Sephora and other places where Philosophy products are sold.

I’ll have to check it out!! Thanks!!
Jen,
You’ve convinced me to give this perfume a try. I too don’t like over powering smells, so this may be just what I need.
The link to this guest bloggers personal blog is not working.
I’ve been wearing Pure Grace for a couple of years now, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
I am a fan of Amazing Grace. I’ll have to give Pure Grace a try too! Thanks!
I tried this on this morning at Sephora! It’s a lovely scent. I might need to add that to my wish list…
Can you girls do a review on Teeth Whitening products?
Thanks for telling us about that! I am gonna check it out. As soon as I figure out where a Sephora is.
Jen you are not only an excellent writer but what a fantastic suggestion! I was not only pleased to read your review but it made me go to the store and try it on, it is just as wonderful as you had described, smooth, simple and breezy. I adore it!! I hope to see more of your maticulous writting soon!!

I have been wearing Inner Grace for about a month now and love it! I would like to get all of the scents, too. They are very nice scents to wear during the day.
Oh, and I got mine at Ulta if you have one of those nearby. It is actually closer than Sephora and I often find the same items.
I am a QVC watcher as well. You’ve convinced me to give Pure Grace a try. Sounds like a great Mother’s Day gift to myself!
