UPDATE: Congratulations commenter #46 — wooster! Your Kiss My Face Kids products are on their way to you!
For a while now, I’ve been on a bit of a mission to “green” up my beauty routine.
Yet, while I’ve managed to find some great products free of synthetic ingredients, parabens and sulfates, I’m by no means a die-hard green convert. There are plenty of beauty products I still use because, frankly, I like them. And — this is how I reason it in my head — I’ve been using these synthetic products for years without issue.
But.
When it comes to the products I use on my own children, I tend to be a tad more picky. A child’s skin is thinner than an adult’s. It absorbs anything applied to it at a much faster rate. A child’s skin is often much more sensitive, as well. So, when given a choice of using a synthetic product on my kids, or a product that is free of the chemical “junk,” I almost always opt for the latter.
Problem is, those types of products have been pricey and difficult to find.
Until now.
Kiss My Face has just released a line of bath and body care products for children. The best part? The entire collection is free of artificial colors and fragrances, parabens and sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates (SLS).

I’ve been using the products on my kids for the last several weeks.
I think I’m in love.
Here’s what they offer:
Self-Foaming Shampoo and Body Wash: My kids loved that this product did the lathering for them, making it super-easy to use. It was gentle enough to use on my daughter’s eczema-prone skin without incident.
Bubble Wash: That eczema-prone child? She’s been bubble bath deprived pretty much her entire life. Every time I’ve added bubbles to her bath, her skin breaks out in a red, itchy rash. This Bubble Wash is the answer to prayer. All of the fun, none of the itching.
Detangler Creme: Up until this point, detangler was the one product that I had to compromise on. I just simply would not give up using detangler on my daughter’s hair (that would be waytoo painful an experience for both her and me). But, when I read the ingredient list on our old detangler bottle, I found myself wondering, “Is it that difficult to make a detangler that doesn’t have all the chemicals in it?” Well, apparently it’s not, because Kiss My Face has done it. It. Rocks.
2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner: Years ago, I remember reading that those 2 in 1 shampoos were among some of the harshest you could use on your hair. I’ve always thought that was a shame, because the 2 in 1 concept is great. Here’s the old time-saving 2 in 1 approach in new SLS and paraben-free form. Awesome.
Self-Foaming Hand Wash: Frequent handwashing takes its toll on tiny hands. My children suffered through many a winter with dry, cracked hands until I realized it was the sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates in the antibacterial hand soap that was tearing their hands up. It used to be virtually impossible to find an SLS-free soap. The fact that this one is SLS-free and self-foaming? Well, I feel like I died and went to heaven.
Lip Balm Duo: My daughter’s lips can get very dry and chapped. This is the only lip balm she’ll let me put on her lips without a fight. It remedies the situation in just one or two applications.
A Whale of a Soap Duo Pack: Another SLS-free soap option, only in bar — or should I say, whale — form. These adorable whale-shaped soaps lather beautifully and are gentle enough to use head to toe.
The Kiss My Face Kids line comes in two scents, Orange U Smart and Berry Smart. Many of the products are also offered fragrance-free, for the super-sensitive.
And — before you go writing off these products as being just for the kiddies — I’ve used all the products myself, as well. I loved them all. If you have sensitive skin, or if you’re just looking to add some “greener” bath and body products to your routine, don’t shy away from this line just because of the packaging.
The Kiss My Face Kids line is available at Target, Whole Foods Market and other places where natural products are sold. Prices range from $5.95 for the Lip Balm Duo to $9.95 for the Bubble Wash.
WIN IT! Now — here’s the best news. One lucky Chic Critique reader will win one of every product listed above — all of which have been generously donated by Kiss My Face. Here’s how to to win:

Love, love, love my “green” products. I’ve tried adult beauty products from Kiss My Face and have liked them. Would love to try them for the kids! I’d have to say that the one product I’d most want to try is the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. My daughter’s curly hair requires both shampoo and conditioner or we’d never get it brished out, so to save a whole step in the bath process would be great! Then, for the same reasons, the cream detangler would also be great to try.
Great giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity!
The self-foaming hand wash…my toddler has recently learned to wash his hands and it’s all he wants to do! I worry about him using too much of the regular soap we have on hand.

We would love to try this at our house!!! The self foaming shampoo and body wash would be my first pick! I’ve tried for several years to buy more natural products…this would be perfect!
Love your blog by the way!
I’m a subscriber!!
I posted a facebook message also! Thank you and have a great day!
I’d love to try the self foaming body wash and shampoo and also the hand wash. I technically don’t have kids, but I do have sensitive skin. If they came out with a face wash that removes makeup, I’d be all for it!

I’d like to try the bubble bath for my little girl.
My daughter has very curly hair and I would love to try the detangler.
Oh – I love all natural products!! I wuold love to try these for my kids. I wuold love to try the 2-1 shampoo/conditioner. My poor daughter needs something that works well!!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I just subscribed!!
These products look great. I’ve had trouble finding green-er ones I like and that I can afford. I definitely want to try the self-foaming body wash on my kids.

Hi, want to try the self-foaming body wash on my kids.
Thanks
Shampoo/conditioner or body wash for sure! I am concerned about parabens too!
I would love to try the body wash or the shampoo/conditioner! I’m just beginning the effort to rid my house of (most of) the chemicals. Thanks for this giveaway!

I have two guys with eczema, the itchy, scaly, irritated and sometime bleeding kind. I’d love to try that body wash on them to see some improvement. Thanks for the opportunity.
I am a subscriber here.
I’d love to try the detangler for my daughter’s LONG LONG hair! Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
My son has eczema too, and I think I’d be most interested in the bubble wash. He loves baths and has had to take them without any bubble mix because of the rash issue. Thanks for telling us about these products!
This could be the answer to the prayers of my bubble deprived eczema girl, too! The detangler is also something that we’d put to good use because her hair drives us both nutty without a good detangler!!
I’m also a Chic Critique subscriber via Google Reader!
I would love to try the lip balm for my boys. They are so picky, and my oldest hates the cool sensation that the minty Burt’s Bees stuff has.
I also twittered about the giveaway. Follow me under Lafantasma!
I subscribe through the RSS feed to Chic Critique! Love it!
I think the detangler would be our first choice,… my daughter’s curly hair is just starting to get long enough to be a problem, but I haven’t brought myself to use a mainstream detangler yet… but it’s starting to get ugly at hair brushing time. 🙁 Poor kid. I’m all for trying the other products, but the detangler is the only one I don’t have any natural version of yet.
I’d love to win this set! The bubble wash looks great! Thanks. christy.vw at gmail dot com
I would love to try the self foaming body wash, my granddaughter has very sensitive skin. Thanks for the give-away.

Bubble Wash. I cannot find a bubble bath that doesn’t make my kids itch. Would love to try this!
I Twittered and Facebooked the link!

I think we’d like the shampoo/conditioner. My 2 year old screams bloody blue murder when I wash her hair and then again when I comb it. Maybe this would eliminate at least one issue!
I would love to try the shampoo/body wash.
we are in desperate need of some detangler around here–something all natural would be wonderful!

I would love to try the Bubble Wash, my kids have problematic skin issues-this sounds like a nice fit for them. Having fun with bubbles and being green at the same time, nice.
Oh boo! I just missed out! But I will try to find these products at Target and give them a try. I have one allergy skin prone kiddo and it would be great to find something green and affordable:)
I would want to try the detangler, because, like you, I hate using it knowing all of the junk that’s in it, but I have to use it to avoid tears, tantrums, etc. 🙂
thanks!
Beth
I would love to try the 2 in 1! it would be a great timesaver around my house!

The whale of a soap duo pack…my son loves bar soap. Thanks for this great giveaway!
Christy
I SO agree with you on the detangler. I couldn’t find good “green” one and have been “compromising” as well. I use kiss my face products for myself and my kids love the kids foaming hand soap. Would LOVE to try the detangler and bubble bath too!!
Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂
My kids actually wanted the orange scented shampoo/body wash at the grocery store the other day, so that’s what I would pick!
I subscribed too!
I’d love to try the foaming handwash or the whale soap on my kids. I have 4 kids and summer means more than one shower/bath a day quite often. I’d love to switch them over to healthier products.

I’m definitely most interested in the detangler. If it were winter, it would probably be the lip balm. 🙂

I like the all night crème.
I would most like to try the 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner.
I’ve seen these at the store and have always wondered about them. Thanks for the scoop! I can’t wait to try them out. It always helps when someone else can give you the thumbs up! I’d like to try the 2 in 1 conditioner. I’m excited!
I just posted it on my facebook page!
Would like to try the Self-Foaming Shampoo and Body Wash. Looking forward to my next trip to Target to try some of the products.

How cool! I’d love to try the Self-Foaming Shampoo and Body Wash!
I would love to try the self foaming hand wash the most, I think it would be most used since my son washes his hands so frequently since it is fun to play in the water for him 😉
I shared on facebook.
My daughter could definitely use the lip balm and my son with excema would benefit from the body wash!
i just stumbled upon your blog and i love it!
i have two kids, and i would LOVE to win the Kiss My Face giveaway!
thank you,
amy
I would be most excited to try the bubble wash. My son also has eczema, so this sounds great! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
The one that I would most like to try is the Bubble Wash because the kids love bubble baths and they look so cute when they them.

I’d like to try the detangler, on myself and my daughter.

i would love to try the lip balm duo. sounds great!
We’ve been using the Aura Cacia Kids line of body wash and shampoo, and the boys really like it. I’m glad that there is more than one option though! We haven’t tried the new Kiss My Face stuff yet, although I’ve used some of their adult products. I’d be most interested in the shampoo/conditioner and the body wash, just because that is what we use most often. The whale bar soap sounds fun!
Would love to try the shampoo/conditioner 2 in 1. I have 3 1/2 year old twins who would also love to sample all of the other products! 🙂
I am a subscriber.
The detangler creme! I’ve always insisted on haircuts (really short ones) every time the tangles overwhelm my daughter and me…..this may be the solution that would let my little girl finally have some long hair!
I’m a subscriber. : )
I would love to try all those products, they look great! But I think the one I would like to try the most is the bubble bath. Both my kids love bubble baths, but my son has eczema so I avoid it when I can. And if his big sister gets to have a bubble bath, then he wants one too. So nobody gets them at our house.
I’d like to try the detangling creme… both of my girls have decided they want to grow their hair long, but they’re not the best at keeping it combed!
I’m excited about the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner!
I completely identify with struggling to “green” my beauty products (I love my old standbys), but I MUST have green bath products for my 2 year old daughter. I would be most interested in trying the detangling creme. Detangling spray or creme is a must with my scalp-senstive daughter and I would love to find something that is more natural and smells good, too!
I just subscribed! Love their products
I’d really like to try the self foaming hand wash — toddler hands need so much washing – or so she tells me!
I have used Kiss my face products before and would love to get them for my 4 yr old daughter. It is so difficult to find products free of artificial colors and fragrances.
I love the Kiss my face kids line. I have tried the foaming hand wash and the whale soap. great scents but the price is a little too much these days.
I’m a subscriber too!
I want to try out the detangler! My daughter looks like Medusa every morning so we go through ridiculous amounts of conditioner and detangler at our house!!
Woot! Woot!! Subscriber over here too!!!
I emailed friends (and my sister) about this stuff. I can’t wait to try it out.
