The Foot Files

Ladies, it’s finally summer!

You know what that means, right?

There are gonna be crusty feet breaking out sandals all over the place! (Gross, I’m sorry.)

But fortunately for you, I’ve got a quick and easy solution.

Enter the Sally Hansen La Cross Foot File.

Foot FileThis guy is awesome for several reasons.

First, you can use it on wet or dry feet – meaning I can soak them (or wait until after a shower) or just file them if I notice they are gross.

Second, I find that a foot file, as opposed to a pumice stone, can be cleaned with a nail brush and a tiny bit of soap and work as good as new again. I find that pumice stones don’t work after one or two good sessions.

That’s my quick tip to keep feet looking sandal ready…. what do you do to keep your piggies pretty this time of year?

  1. Interesting. I’ve never tried one. My trick? A regular visit to the cheapie walk-in pedicure place down the street. It’s one of my many guilty pleasures. 🙂

  2. Living in Florida means living in flip flops. I have to admit that I hate getting pedicures done. So, I’ve been doing them myself!

My secret weapon? The Ped Egg! I use that then a foot/heel cream like miracle cream. Right now I have a different brand foot/heel cream, but it’s really working well too. Then I trim and buff my toenails smooth which also takes off the polish staining, and give them a pretty polishing. I love the Sinfully nail polishes at Walgreen’s $1.99 with every color out there and I think they are just as good if not better than OPI. I do two coats, then a clear top coat and finish it off with Sally Hansen speed drying drops.

With all of that the tootsies look just as good as a pedicure done at a nail salon. It’s been atleast two weeks since I did my last home pedicure and my polish hasn’t chipped and still has that “looks wet shine”! It’s been years since I’ve paid for a pedicure, but I’m pretty sure that with my stash, I’m saving money at the same time!
