What’s in Becky’s makeup bag

Remember back in January when the Chic Critique crew shared what was in their makeup bags? Since I’m new around these parts (*waves hello!*), I thought I’d show you what’s in mine.

First of all, how much do you love my mint green bathroom?

But let’s get down to business. From left to right:

1. Aveeno lotion. I used to be addicted to the scented stuff from Bath and Body Works, but when I was pregnant two years ago, it gave me a rashy belly. Fun! I switched to Aveeno and love it because then I get to wear perfume. Score!
2. Eyeshadow primer. Have you tried Urban Decay’s shadow primer? Fan. Freakin. Tastic. I have the Sin (shimmery champagne color) and original, and I see that they now have a new color, too. Hello, Sephora? I’ll be visiting soon.
3. Pile-o-eyeshadow. My stack contains Stila Kitten (love); a bunch of Clinique freebies, palates and singles (did you hop on board with the spring singles this year and last? I did, and I LOVE them); and a Cover Girl Exact Eyelights for green eyes. I don’t love the CG compact, but it did come with a great brush that I use every day. Win!
4. Lipgloss galor. I have a bit of a lipgloss problem. I can’t get enough of it! In my current rotation: Stila Kitten; Clinique Long Last in Tenderheart; Clinique Superbalm in Black Honey (this one gets slapped on at least once a day); and some various Tarte glosses that I bought on clearance a few months ago for like $9 per duo. I love the names on the Tarte glosses, and the colors are pretty, but I don’t love them as a whole. They kind of have the same smell as my daughter’s diaper cream, and that’s just… well, gross. I think these will be seeing Free Makeup Friday at work sometime soon.
5. Mascara. Right now, I’m using a Clinique sample – I’ll tell you about it in full another time. I usually use Cover Girl Lash Exact (the one in the purple tube) – it is the BEST!
6. Razor. This isn’t usually in my makeup bag, but it has been lately because my daughter keeps thinking it’s a bath toy. Um… no. But since it’s here and I love it, it’s worth mentioning: Schick Intuition.
7. Foundation. Right now, I’m big on bareMinerals Matte in Fairly Light. It provides great, light coverage and evens things out. I occasionally use Stila’s tinted moisturizer, but not often enough to warrant full-time makeup bag placement.
8. Blush. I go back and forth between a few colors. In the summer, I use this in Orgasm/Laguna; in the winter, this in Dolce Vita; but lately I’ve been hooked on this in Purple Brown (plus, you guys!! It’s only $10!). Korres isn’t a brand that I would normally flock to, but this blush is pretty awesome. I’ll definitely consider the brand the next time I need new makeup!
9. In the side pocket. I keep all of my brushes and liners in the side pocket so they don’t get lost (HAAAA! I lose them frequently anyway.). I don’t use lipliner enough to warrant mentioning (is it just me or does it look too fake on you, too?), but as for eyeliners I’ll use anything that has a built-in sharpener. I can’t tell you how many nubs I have tossed because I just can’t get them sharpened the right way. My current fave is Clinique Quickliner in Violet.
