I love purses. Its no secret. You just have to look at the ridiculous shelf okay shelves in my closet stuffed with way too many handbags. There's usually one or two on the end table or maybe the washing machine. Maybe one in my car still. But I don't have loads of money to feed this addiction, so I've found some secrets to finding amazing bags for less.
Join some online sample sale sites. My two favorites are HauteLook and Gilt. (I was seriously tempted by a Kate Spade purse on Gilt the other week. It was only $110 (like 75% off) and I don't know WHY I didn't! UGH!)
Outlets. I live near an amazing outlet mall that has a Coach Outlet (that regularly has sales where clearance is an additional 50% off plus they give you extra 20% off coupons!) and outlets for Kate Spade, BCBG Max Azria, Michael Kors and more. You can get killer deals!
TJ Maxx and Marshalls. If you have time to comb through the store, you can find fabulous brands for way off price! Just today on their website they shared how someone got a Michael Kors Tote Bag for $169.99! Score!
E-Bay. If you have the patience for an auction, you can get some amazing deals on the thousands of designer bags available. And if you don't mind a purse that's slightly used, you can get some even more amazing deals!
Online. Sites like luxebycsn.com have some fantastic deals on designer brands.

I got a brand new Ed Hardy purse on EBay for 30 dollars! New with tags, as well as the protective dust bag. Gotta love last season’s overstock and auction style listings!
I am a purse addict and my budget hates me LOL I can pass shoes right by with a simple reminder that I’m broke, but purses? I’ve yet to figure out how to pass them by. And we’re not even talking the expensive awesome ones – so far my purse shopping has been limited to Target and any other random stores I’m in. I drool over Designer bags online all the time though.
I actually found a Kate Spade bag for 20.00 at a resale shop, I was thrilled!

Purses are my biggest weakness. I usually browse ebay and look for auctions that have a typo or something to get a really awesome deal. I also really love TJ Maxx or Marshalls because they organize their purses by color. I love finding a designer gem hidden on their racks!

My best purse deal came from ebay. It was a current style, buttery soft leather Dooney & Bourke purse that I had been admiring in the store for $425. I snagged it for $50 and was a very happy girl!

Honestly, the best purse buy I ever got was from eBay. A $200 purse with the tags still on it for only $30. I still carry it and love it. But, I had to be very patient and vigilant in searching until I found this bag. It was no impulse thing.

The last purse I bought was from TJ Maxx, it was a great deal and I love it.
It’s been awhile since I have bought a purse. I use them until each one wears out, and I still have two unused purses in my closet. I would have to say picking up a nice leather bag from Kohl’s on sale with a 30% off coupon to top it off.
I’ll be honest. I haven’t bought a purse for probably 15 years. I carry a fanny pack – ugly I know, but it sure limits carrying a lot of junk!
I once bought a Louis Vitton purse, worth $500, for $125! 😉

I found a Fossil bag that was marked down on a day that the department store was giving an additional markdown. I thought it was a very good price.
The best deal I had on a purse was 30% off at Kohl’s. It’s a gorgeous dark teal color with braided handles. You have to see it to truly appreciate it.

I found the best deal one year at a Macy’s clearance sale. I think it was right after the holidays.
I found a Brahmin bag at a consignment shop in Florida for $20 – great deal!
I saw a great purse in a boutique earlier this year, but wasn’t about to pay $75 for it. I found it on Amazon.com for $35 with free shipping and was beyond excited!
Best deal I had was when I won one of these gift certificats a long while back, found a beautiful purse on sale on CSN and used gift certificate for it. I got it for free! Love it!

I bought a great leather Coach tote on eBay back in 2002 for just over $100 new. It certainly wasn’t my cheapest purse (in fact, probably the opposite) but I’ve carried it off and on since then, it’s still in practically perfect condition even though I used to carry textbooks around in it, and the same purse still goes for around $140 on eBay so I could profit if I ever wanted to sell it!

The last great deal I got was about 5 years ago. I got a leather purse from Wilson’s Leather Outlet for $15 – it was originally priced at $150.
I’ll find great summer purses at Target usually.
My best purse deal was WINNING a $495 Foley+Corinna leather handbag. The bag is worth more than the money that I’ll be carrying in it.

My best purse deal actually came from Macy’s. I spotted a great looking one at 65% off. I still use it—7 years later.
I shop at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for my purses.
I am really not a purse person, I’ll wear the same one until it’s falling apart. I did find my current favorite, a Kenneth Cole Reaction bag for like $2 at a local thrift store (and it WAS in perfect shape, but that was several years ago!)

I once found a box of purses at a yard sale. They wanted $20 for the whole box. I ended up getting 17 bags for $20. Some still had tags on them and one was worth $330.
Most of my purse finds are at Goodwill, I am on the lookout for a daughter and granddaughter as well, so it is the practical place to shop.
I like buying purses at garage sales. I’ve found so many brand new with tags still on for basically pennies <3

My favorite place to buy purses at good prices is JCPenny. They always have an area of discounted purses, and usually you can get some real nice ones.
