A few months ago I shared with you the shorts I found for my hard to fit body. Because of my not so average shape, this was big news. Along those same lines, I don’t wear skirts often because its hard to find those that flatter me.
I was out shopping this past Saturday and decided to stop in Express. I haven’t shopped there in a few years primarily because of their prices. Yet, they do have quality work staples, and that’s what I was in the market for. Namely a pencil skirt.
As soon as I tried on their stretch pencil skirt with ribbed insets, I knew this was the perfect pencil skirt for me. It’s a heavy knit so it’s stretchy but maintains its shape well. I typically don’t purchase items that aren’t on sale, so for me to pay full price for this skirt {$49.90} should speak volumes on how much I love this skirt.

If you have a hard to fit body like me {my hips are not in proportion to my waist} definitely go out and try this skirt.

I like Express but I try wait for a great sale. I have a hard time with skirts as well…I am pear shaped and my waist is much smaller than my hips…maybe I will have to check out Express soon! thanks for sharing!
I love express basics. I only wear express dress pants for my work attire. They last forever, wash up great and require no ironing, and fit great! I might have to try the skirt. I have never been a skirt fan, but I am feeling daring this winter, and it may give me a chance to buy some fun boots to wear with it!
Love it! I have been looking for a pencil skirt for awhile Think I will wait until they do the $30 off $75 and hopefully one will be left in my size. Express rocks. But yes, they ar so pricey and I’m a recessionista! LOL…
