Britax Parkway SGL *GIVEAWAY*

Britax is known for making not only the safest car seats on the market, but the chicest too. (Is chicest a word?) We’re huge fans of the Britax Roundabout in our family; we used one for 12 years straight.

Recently I was given the opportunity to review the Britax Parkway SGL — their belt positioning booster.

You can read my review in its entirety on Musings of a Housewife. Suffice it to say, this booster far surpasses any of its competition. Immediately I could see that it was sturdier and more cushiony than any belt-positioning booster seat I’ve ever had. There are some extra safety features that aren’t typical to booster seats — the Secure Guard Seat Belt Anchor and ISOFLEX Flexible Lower LATCH Connection System, to name a few. My 5-year-old daughter loves it, it looks great in our car, and I feel good about its safety features. What more could you want from a booster seat?

I really like all the safety features. It seems as you go up from infant seat to toddler seat to booster, a lot of them seem less and less safe.

  2. Jackie Roskos says:

I am dying to try this seat out for my soon to be 7 year old twins…their birthday is Feb. 10th and are currently using Britax Regent seats, and told me the other day, “Mom, we are getting too big for our baby seats!” Sniff, sniff! I love the regents and am having a hard time parting with them due to them having a five point harness, but I am realizing the diffucutly they are having buckling themselves in with their heavy winter coats they are now wearing….this is the only seat that I would switch to if I get rid of the regents. Whoever wins this will not be disappointed!

  3. I like that it is clean and new, lol. I also like all the safety features.

  4. I like that it’s a Britax! They are the best. My daughter is currently in the Boulevard, and we’ll eventually need this baby.

Britex is the safest car seat there is!!!!

  12. With our third baby on the way, we are getting ready to transition our son to a booster. I love that the britax parkway has so many more safety features than the Graco booster that our older daughter is in. It has always bothered me that her seat is not secured to the car. So the fact that the parkway uses the latch system to attach to the car makes me feel more secure. And I love that it has the extra middle belt to hold the seat belt in place!

  20. Kristen M. says:

I like that this seat provides a head restraint. We used a backless booster for our older kids and this seat clearly provides better safety and support.

  26. The fact that it is “cushy” and it has the extra feature to keep the lap belt in place to avoid abdominal injuries.

  27. This seat looks really comfortable compared to some I have seen.

  28. Following on Facebook.

  29. What isn’t there to like about this booster? I appreciate all of the safety features, and I’m sure my daughter would appreciate the comfort it appears to provide!

  30. I found you through Musings of a Housewife! Thanks for this new site to keep 30+ moms like me in “the know!” I would be terribly fashion-senseless without you. I would also love the Britax for one of my three kiddos. We have a different belt positioner for my oldest and it falls over all the time…even with her in it…I hate it! My other two are still in the Marathon. 🙂

  31. I “like” All Things Chic on Facebook….and would love the Britax seat 🙂

  45. I like that this Britax is tall and thin, doesn’t look like it would take up as much room as the Britax that I have now. I also like that when you reviewed it you mentioned how comfortable it is for your child. But, most of all I love that Britax seats are so safe!

  48. Love the fact that they still have the safety features of a carseat. We currently have 2 Britax carseats, but our 6 yr old needs to move on but because the carseat goes to 80 lbs, we have left her in it. We also have 2 yr old twins, so winning a new one and only having to purchase 2 would be a huge blessing:)

  59. Following Chic on Facebook, now! YAY for the launch!

  60. …and now following britax as well on fb…I don’t tweet, so hoping this is enough…

  61. I like that it incorporates the latch system, so the seatbelt isn’t required to hold the child AND the booster seat in place.

  62. I subscribe to this RSS feed.

  63. I love Biritax mostly for its safety. My son used Parkway SG for the last year or so, until I recently slid off ice and snow-covered road and totaled my car. Thankfully, my 7-yo son was not in the car. Parkway SG did not have LATCH system. Now I read on Britax website that Parkway SGL is finally equipped with LATCH. How thrilled was I to read that!! When it comes to the safety of my 7-yo boy who is my only child, I can easily go overboard, but who wouldn’t? I hope I can win one. If not, I guess I’ll find myself go shopping on-line for Parkway SGL with a good deal! 🙂 (C’mon, let me win one, let me win one…. *fingers and toes all crossed!) 🙂

I love the Britax brand! I have a Marathon carseat and would love to have a booster for my little guy to grow into next.

Britax is known for its safety features, but it even goes beyond that to makes things as simple as possible for Mom. Their connection system is great for both safety and convenience. For this booster, I especially like the side impact features. Oh, and that it will work for a boy or girl (maybe I can use it for kid #2 down the line!)

  175. We only buy Britax car seats and have loved them all! I recommend them to everyone I know. I have one in the van right now and need to get another one soon.

  176. I would love a Britax Parkway booster seat! I have never bought a Britax seat b/c of the cost but oh how I love them. Maybe if we ever have #3 I will splurge and get one. My 3 year old will quickly be ready for the booster.
