Red Dresses for Healthy Hearts

My good friend Jasmine is an exercise physiologist at a local heart health clinic. In her day to day job she sees the effect of poor health choices regarding both nutrition and activity.

She doesn’t preach, but she always inspires me to improve my eating habits and incorporate more exercise into my life… and recently she gave me a red dress pin from the American Heart Association.

It’s a cute little pin, and a good reminder…

Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women in America?

It’s time we started making some changes – in so many cases this disease can be prevented by simple lifestyle choices.

And you know what else? American Heart Month and this adorable little pin has made me long for another change… a new red dress.

So in honor of shopping sprees and healthy hearts everywhere, here are five cute and casual red dresses… all under $50.

  1. I love the twist front on this Macy’s empire waist dress, and love that it retails for only $49.99.
  2. This Mossimo tunic dress is perfect with tights and booties. Pick it up Target for $18.
  3. The adorable trim detail on the neckline takes this $39.99 JCPenney dress from basic to fantastic.
  4. Nordstrom reduced the price of this cute sweater dress from $48 to $23.90. Grab it while you still can!
  5. Last but not least, Lulu’s Look of Love dress retails for $36. And just wait until you see the adorable bow cut-out on the back. You’ll be turning heads in this one!

Happy American Heart Month.
