The trend in boots this year is sleek and simple, with fabulously rich colors. A good rule of thumb: the simpler the style, the more important is the quality and texture.

I have been looking at those Steve Madden boots (or ones similar) for a while now, since I cannot find the Danskos you recommend and I want. BUT, honest engine, do you like the heel on the Steve Madden? I think they will look dated soon. Am I wrong?

About the Steve Madden, I dunno, I have some with heels like that I’ve had for a couple years, and I feel they are still stylish. It’s a hard call. I know what you mean. A riding boot is more classic.
