Wedding Favor Trends

It used to be you couldn’t dream of a wedding without the obligatory tulle bag of jordan almonds. The bittersweet nut covered in sugar was supposed to represent marriage – a combination of good and bad, with sweetness prevailing.

A cute idea, sure, but modern brides have other tastes, myself included. I had to beg my mother not to include jordan almonds at my 2010 wedding.

Some brides prefer personalized lip balms or chocolates. Many brides will connect their wedding theme to their favors – mini suitcases for destination weddings, personalized water bottles or sunscreen for weddings in warm climates, playing cards for Vegas wedding.

Modern wedding favors are as unique as the bride and groom. My favorite wedding favors are practical ones guests will actually want to use after the wedding.

Everyone needs a little scrap of paper to take down notes – whether grocery lists, messages received, or little reminders. These cute notepads come with matching pens so that your guests will always have pen and paper handy whenever they might need it. Like pretty much all wedding favors these days, these note pads are fully customizable – your names, your wedding date, your colors.

These favors are perfect – who doesn’t enjoy a cup of tea? You can of course personalize these tea bag wedding favors, which are also less likely to be forgotten, since they’re super easy to fit into a coat pocket or tiny clutch.

Great as a complement to a tea bag favor or all on it’s own, these little honey jars are adorable. There’s something so luxurious about the little jars of honey and jam you get at fancy hotels, isn’t there? It’s a sweet favor your wedding guests are sure to enjoy.

Last but not least, your guests can can actually plant these favors in soil, add water, and grow a little herb garden. What a neat way to thank your guests for attending your wedding!

What are your favorite wedding favors?
