Style Maeve :: Chic Blog of the Week

Have you all met Lynnette of Style Maeve? She is fabulous. Her blog is fabulous.

I just love visiting her site! I’m talking serious eye candy, folks. Her splurge vs steal posts are my favorite – or maybe her pinterest-a-riffic posts she does every single day – or maybe the recipes she posts – even those are stylish!! Her blog is gorgeous and inspiring – a must follow in my book.

1. How do you describe your style?
I would say my style when I am out is pretty classic but with an edge. I like to wear simple classic pieces and add let the accessories, shoes, and makeup make the statement. When I am home it is all about comfort! Jeans, flats, and cute casual tops.

2. What’s your favorite thing in your closet?
With it being Winter right now, it would have to be my scarves. When you have a coat covering up your outfit it’s nice to throw on a scarf and show some color. My favorite item all year however, is my Louis Vuitton Suhali S-Lock bracelet. I am a bit of a LV fanatic!

3. What was your ‘best buy’ story?
I would have to say my best buy has been my Louis Vuitton Elba ballerina flats. I didn’t get them on sale or anything but I have definitely gotten my money’s worth from them. I love to wear flats during the day when running around doing errands, going out to lunch or a casual dinner.

4. What are your favorite stores to shop?
Nordstrom, they have everything you need there! For shopping on a budget, I love H&M, Target, Loft (they always have great sales!), and Dorothy Perkins (online shop). Oh, and I can’t forget about Sephora. I could spend hours in there so when I go I make sure I know exactly what I need or it can get dangerous for my wallet.

5. Name the most valuable tool in your makeup/skincare bag:
Mascara, and chapstick! I can have a full face of makeup done but I don’t feel complete without my mascara on. So on days when I have light makeup on, like powder, and some blush, I make sure to use my L’oreal Voluminous Mascara and I’m good to go. As for the chapstick, I’m a little bit obsessed! I have one pretty much in every room because I can’t stand having dry chapped lips.
