Very Busy Mamá {life, beauty & styleOur Chic Blogger of the week is Very Busy Mamá! I found her blog a few weeks ago and fell in love. She has great casual style, her site is a great blend of style and life and she’s so stinkin’ adorable that I keep coming back to her site! I LOVE her about page – “Very Busy Mamá {life, beauty & style}  is my space to share things that we as mothers and women love such as fashion, beauty, fitness but often put aside when the children come along. I no longer have the disposable income I had BLM (Before Little M) or the same body. I talk about working with what you got, how to shop your own closet and staying stylish on a MAJOR budget. Looking good doesn’t’ have to cost a fortune.”

I could not possibly agree more!

So without further ado… Mariá!

How do you describe your style?
I call my style “Comfy Mamá Chic” I like my skinny comfy jeans, with cute flats instead of sneakers, blouses, blazers, striped shirts, etc. Anything that can take me from the playground to a coffee meeting or lunch without much change. Handbags,  jackets and blazers are my fave because they can dress up even the simplest of outfits.

What’s your favorite thing in your closet?
Right now it has to be my tweed coat from H&M. I bought it in London before moving back to the US and I get stopped to ask where I got it. It’s a keeper! (picture attached)
What was your ‘best buy’ story?
After having my son my feet changed sizes and I was still in shock about the massive life change that having a baby brings.  I was out one day and I really wasn’t looking to shop, I just needed air and I was walking down my local high street in London. I passed by the Benetton and even though I never shop there something drew me in. I quickly looked around and a pair of low heeled, gray suede ankle boots caught my eye.  They were on sale for £35 down from £100…I jumped all over them before anyone else could get them. My mood immediately lifted, I even felt the blood rush to my head with excitement! They have become part of my comfy mamá chic look since then!
What are your favorite stores to shop?
I spent six years in London and was introduced to a whole new world of fashion and style. I really came into my own there and because the city is so expensive I learned how to dress fashionably on a budget. My favourite stores are: Gap (for basics and their amazing sales), Uniqlo, Primark (UK only, and I miss it!), Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, H&M, and Zara and I rarely pay full price for anything!
Name the most valuable tool in your makeup/skincare bag:
Can I choose two? My concealer (after having my son my skin changed so much) and my moisturizer.
