I was recently offered the opportunity to try out the new line of Vaseline Total Moisture lotions. It comes in three formulas to meet your every need:

• Vaseline Total Moisture: Basically, “the original yellow bottle”
• Vaseline Aloe Fresh: A lighter version of the original
• Vaseline Cocoa Radiant: A heavier version of the original
  

  New formulas for Vaseline Total Moisture Lotion!

I was provided a bottle of each, and I have to say: Vaseline had historically not been my go-to lotion brand…but I think that has changed! In the past, I’ve felt like the scent was too overpowering and just not my style. But either my sniffer has changed, or the scent formulation has changed, because this is really nice. It provides clean moisture, if that makes sense (i.e., my skin doesn’t feel greasy or coated), with little to no scent. I found the Total Moisture and the Aloe Fresh to be pretty similar, though the Aloe Fresh is a little bit lighter; the Cocoa Radiant has a hint of cocoa butter scent (which I love) and is definitely more creamy than the others. I could see using this more in winter, but for summertime use I’d probably recommend one of the others.

• Exfoliation is a good way to prepare skin for moisturization. Makes sense…why not slough off all the icky stuff before applying lotion?
• Moisturize after your shower to seal in hydration.
• Moisturize every day. This one is hard for me in the summer, because my bathroom gets kinda stuffy and it is HUMID where I live. But I still try to.
• Look for natural ingredients like oat, aloe and cocoa butter, which are known for their skin benefits.
• Pay attention to shelf life! Most lotions will last two years after they are purchased. I…have some bath closet purging that needs to happen.
