I’ve really been thinking about what makes me happy, not just doing things because everyone else is doing it. For instance, if everyone is reading & talking about a book, do I truly want to read it? How about taking on extra projects at church, learning to say no when I don’t want to and don’t have time!!!! Then focusing on what truly brings satisfaction, which can be something complicated and involved (like my work for sewing for Haiti moms-to-be), or simply doing nothing – spending time outside, enjoying nature and watching the little critters and pretty flowers, but perhaps not accomplishing anything except pleasure! I find doing less, enjoying more, has become my motto.

I am trying to pace myself and make sure that I get enough sleep to uncomplicate my life. I have to work 6 days a week right now, but luckily I have a lot of downtime on my job, so I make sure to bring little tasks from home to do with me (like bills to pay and so on) and get as much I can done when I’m at work, so I can relax more at home.
