Shark Rotator Power Lift Away Review

This spring, our allergies have been fierce. Maybe its because of the rough winter? Who knows. All I know is I have to dust and vacuum almost daily around here or my whole family is sneezing up a storm. So its no surprise that our vacuum went kaput. Luckily, I was contacted by the nice folks at Shark about the Shark^® Rotator^® Powered Lift-Away^® Vacuum and they sent me one to help me keep my family’s sneezing at bay.

What can I say about a vacuum… ITS AMAZING. Seriously, guys, I’m excited about vacuuming and its weird.

Designed with a HEPA filter and Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology™, the vacuum captures and holds 99.99 percent of dust and allergens to maintain a clean and healthy home environment for allergy sufferers. SCORE! I’m positive our old vacuum didn’t do this. And it has a low profile, so it fits under tables, chairs, couches…. I used to have to move furniture to vacuum and now, I can do a quick vacuum and get everything.

Its quiet, has a super long cord and is easy to manover. When the notorized brush gets going, look out! It does have a bit of a pull on carpet, but my 10-year-old was able to control it fine, so its not terribly strong. It was nice not to have to drag it around like our old one! I love the one touch switching from hardwood to carpet! SO easy!!

I was most impressed with the suction: I had just vacuumed my family room a few days before, but the Shark Rotator was sucking up what sounded like the entire beach from that carpet. I was shocked! What was my old vacuum even doing? I also loved the pet power brush – perfect for cleaning up after my dog! Despite my dog not being allowed on the furniture, they all covered in dog hair anyways. Perhaps he has parties when we go out. It worked really well on the stairs as well.

The Hard Floor Genie™ bare floor attachment was awesome! It picks up large debris and fine dust in one easy step. The machine washable microfiber cloth was positively gross after I ran it around the kitchen… despite my having just vacuumed it! This will go a long way is keeping the house cleaner and getting that fine dirt, dust and allergens out of my house!
