Scandles…Moisturizer on Fire

scandleWhen I first heard about Scandles, I was intrigued. After all everybody is taught not to play with fire, but here was a moisturizer you use from the hot wax of a candle! You light it, pour it, and then use the oil for massage, manicures, pedicures, and a moisturizer. I couldn’t wait to try it.

Now I must admit that I was nervous about my first test. It said that the Scandle burns 2 degrees above body temperature so that it is a soothing oil, but I could just see myself telling the ER doc, “Well you see I was burning a candle and decided to use the wax to moisturize…” Anyways, I decided to take a leap of faith. So I lit the candle, picked up the canister by the heat resistant band, and held my breath. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The oil was warmed perfectly and felt awesome on my skin. I tried it on my hands first and was amazed how soft they felt. After trying it on my hands, feet, and legs, I begged hubby for a back massage and, oh my, it was better than any I have had at a spa. I’ll leave it at that though!!

Since green is in, it is also nice knowing that the Scandle is made with 100% natural ingredients. My 4oz massage candle even came in a canister made of recycled materials. The Scandle is not only healthy for your skin, but for the environment too!

A Scandle would make a great Christmas present for that spa lover, beauty product fanatic, and you too!! There is a variety of fragrances from uplifting, to sensual, to calming so visit www.abodycandle.com to see what Scandle meets your needs. Have fun, and make your skin feel great, by playing with some fire!!

  1. I could have used some of these this weekend. The 1st Trimester is causing me all sorts of back pain and with the power outage it would have been the perfect excuse to get Honey to give me a back rub.

  2. Well now. That is interesting for sure! I would have been scared to try it too. Sounds like a cool product.

  3. Sounds like a fun and exciting product!
