Instant Buffed Nails

I have to admit that I take minimal care of my nails. I keep them very short, occassionally get manicures or buff my nails and rarely polish them anything but clear. I love for them to look nice but just don’t love to invest the time into them. I chalk it up to being a busy mom.

So, I was excited to find something that I could brush on quickly that would make my nails look like I cared a little bit about them. Actually, if I take the time to massage my cuticles and file my nails, it might even appear like a manicure.

Sally Hansen does it again with another nail product. I like this company. They’ve been doing nails for many years at affordable prices and are one of the few mainstream companies that is taking chemicals like DBP, Toluene and added formaldehyde out of their nail polish.

Sally Hansen Natural Shine – Instant Brush-On Nail Finish.

When they say instant, they mean it. It dries in seconds to a soft shine much like you just buffed your nails. I used the pink tint (gold tube) and it gave an nice subtle color to mine. It almost has this oily feel as it goes on before it dries.

It claims to have vitamins and minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5 to help nourish your nails. I can’t tell you if it has nourished my nails because I’ve only had it 5 days. But it has stayed on my nails for those 5 days. To remove – just use nail polish remover.

Here are my nails before I applied this – they are awful, I know. Dull and crackly looking.

And here are my nails after I applied the Natural Shine. Much improved, I think! Buffed and shiny!

So, for the $6 I spent on it at Walgreens, I’d say it was worth it for a quick fix to otherwise dull looking nails.

  1. The before and after pics sold me. Next stop: Walgreens! Thanks Janel!

  2. I might have to pick some of that up. I tried to paint my nails two weeks ago just for the fun of it, but it was chipping off the next day. Definitely not worth the time it took to paint them! This stuff looks cool though. I’ll try to remember to grab some the next time I’m out. Thanks Janel!

I agree! I keep this in my purse and, when I’m without a real manicure, apply it every morning as I’m booting up my computer at work!
