Go Nude…On Your Feet

It was around this time last year that I read something about wearing nude-colored shoes for spring. “Nude shoes?” I thought. “GROSS!”

But we all know how I usually stand corrected on fashion trends, right? (AHEM, jeggings and Ugg boots, anyone?)

I bought a pair of nude wedges last year from Piperlime, and I literally wore them with EVERYTHING.

You wouldn’t think they would look good with as much as they do, and yet….

So now, of course, since I wore the bajeezus out of them last year (read: They are quite worn.) (see also: THEY ARE KINDA STINKY. Hello, they are summer shoes, people! It’s hot here in Ohio!), I’m looking for a new pair to add to this year’s rotation. Let’s see what’s in store:

The Via Spiga Ryan is beautiful, isn’t it? It’s a low enough heel that I wouldn’t die every time I tried to walk. It does come with a fairly hefty price tag, though – at nearly $200, this one’s a little out of my range.

The Nine West Peggy Fo is almost identical in style to my beloved Getwitit. And I would say that light gray is a good cousin to nude, so… we’ll count this one, OK? I have seen these in-store and they are just as beautiful as they appear online. They’re $79, which is borderline high on what I like to pay for a shoe, but Nine West usually has some decent sales so keep an eye out. As of this writing, today they have free shipping available on any purchase… so if you hate to pay for shipping as much as I do, well… here’s your chance.

Truly – I can’t even decide which shoes to showcase, let alone which ones to buy, so I should probably stop here. The ones on the far right? Those are Clarks! So you can mix style and comfort, which is key if you’re on your feet all day.

Take a look at Zappos, Endless, ShoeBuy, etc. – they all have great search abilities and you can filter by lots of details. Size, style, heel height, etc. Take a look at some options and let me know what you think.
